South Coast Blaze announces 2020 Club Awards
Last weekend we held our inaugural South Coast Blaze end-of-year presentation and awards. We presented inaugural awards to players of the U23s and Opens teams. Also, we presented our initial South Coast Blaze club person of the year. The awards recognise South Coast Blaze players and members for their dedication, effort, performance and overall contribution to the team.

Shelby Mallon received the Opens Coaches Award. The Blaze Coaches Award recognises a player from each team for her dedication, sportsmanship, leadership, and effort. Seen not only on match day, but also off the court at training and in the gym.
Tayhla Davies received the Opens Players’ Player Award. Teammates chose a player in each team who has been an outstanding teammate throughout the season. The Player’s Player Award is not just about performance in games or training. It also highlights effort, commitment and contribution to all aspects of the team culture and dynamic.
Bilyana Milevski received the U23s Coaches Award. The Blaze Coaches Award recognises a player from each team for her dedication, sportsmanship, leadership, and effort. Seen not only on match day, but also off the court at training and in the gym.
Clare McCrohon received the U23s Players’ Player Award. Teammates chose a player in each team who has been an outstanding teammate throughout the season. The Player’s Player Award is not just about performance in games or training. It also highlights effort, commitment and contribution to all aspects of the team culture and dynamic.
Mia Evans received the Blaze Rookie Of The Year Award. Presented to a talented up-and-coming player who put on a strong performance this year.
Michele Harvey received the Blaze Club Person of the Year Award. Recognising a person who embodies and promotes the passion and spirit of the club. The award will hereinafter be called the Michele Harvey Blaze Club Person of the Year. Michele was instrumental in the establishment of South Coast Blaze in the Premier League. Additionally, Michele set up and lead our Talent Identification Program (TIP), a talent pathway program for 14 to 18-year-old males and females.
