IMB South Coast Blaze announce Assistant Coaches and Team Managers for 2022
The IMB South Coast Blaze is pleased to announce Assistant Coaches and Team Managers for 2022.
Jennie Webster OAM and Lisa McCrohon will return to the Blaze in 2022 as U23s Assistant Coach and Team Manager respectively.
For our Opens team, Heather Smith and Kimberlee Gilmour will join #OurBlaze family as Opens Assistant Coaches in 2022, with Sharon Briggs returning as Opens Team Manager.
Heather is the Western Sydney Academy of Sport Head Coach and an accredited elite emerging coach. She was also previously the GWS Fury Netball NSW Premier League High Performance Manager.
“I’m looking forward to joining a proud, motivated and talented Opens playing group and have the opportunity, as part of this strong team, to enhance the players in reaching their full performance potential in the 2022 season, alongside Marji, Kim and Sharon,”
Kimberlee will be a Specialist Assistant Coach for Blaze and brings a wealth of High Performance experience with representative honours including NSWIS, NSW representative U17s, U19s, U21s, Australian Institute of Sport Scholarship, Australian Under 21 squad member, and a formidable CBT Sydney Swifts and Hunter Jaegers player.

The team environment full of elite athletes with amazing potential and the ability to be a part of that and work closely with the team is extremely motivating for me. I cannot wait to get started.”
Opens Head Coach, Marji Parr, welcomes both Heather and Kim to her coaching team.
“This is a particularly exciting time for Blaze to have both Heather and Kim join the Opens coaching team. Each bring a considerable amount of experience, have extensive backgrounds and a deep wealth of knowledge not only across Premier League but all netball pathways which is unique and invaluable. The ability to bring them together and work with them at Blaze is incredible as we build the 2022 Opens team and look towards the upcoming season.”
