IMB South Coast Blaze announces Exhibition Games against ACT’s Capital Spirit and North Shore United

IMB South Coast Blaze, a franchise in the Netball NSW Premier League, has today announced that its Opens team will be playing in two exhibition games against ACT Netball’s Capital Spirit and North Shore United.

The IMB South Coast Blaze versus Capital Spirit exhibition game will be held at the Capital Spirit’s Season Launch at the SolarHub ACT Netball Centre on Saturday 13 March at 12:30pm. Both teams had their inaugural year in 2020, and this will only be the second official game between the Opens teams.

IMB South Coast Blaze Opens Head Coach, Marji Parr, is excited for the match up against ACT Capital Spirit.

“We have been in pre-season training for a couple of months now so it will be great opportunity to gauge how the team comes together against another Premier League team with just under a month from the start of the competition,“ said Parr.

ACT Capital Spirit Opens Head Coach, Kate Carpenter, is also ready for the interstate battle.

“It’s our first match opportunity for 2021’s pre-season. We have a good relationship with IMB South Coast Blaze and are looking forward to our local community getting the opportunity to see both franchises in action,” said Carpenter.

The IMB South Coast Blaze vs North Shore United Opens exhibition game will be held at Shellharbour City Stadium, on Friday 19 March 2021, from 7.30pm, with the IMB South Coast Blaze Under 23s taking on the U23s training partners beforehand at 6:00pm. Tickets will be available for the general public for $15 per person on Monday 15 March at http://bit.ly/BlazeGame19Mar

“It’s wonderful to be able to bring an elite exhibition game to the South Coast region. North Shore United won the Opens Competition title last year so it will be an exciting match up ahead of the season,” said Parr.
